We were in Williamsburg enjoying a great fall Saturday morning in December. The weather was nice, crisp enough for a sweater, and yet warm enough to shed the gloves and scarves. We watched the Christmas Parade, then found warm cider to keep me happy and off for a walk we went!
We found so many things of interest. History, history, history! After walking down the main street in Colonial Williamsburg, we take more photos and we came across an old oak tree. It was a beautiful oak tree with its limbs stretching wide, its leaves abundant and its trunk going in many directions.
It was a "perfect" tree! As we walked closer and closer, Logan noticed the tree with a different view than we had! He noticed the tree as a cousin of mine use to look at trees! He saw it as an invitation to climb!
Logan loves to climb and this tree looked like a beautiful climbing tree to a little boy that had never had an opportunity to climb a tree before!
The lesson found in this day... "Take time to enjoy life." Walk, see the world and the marvelous creations that God has blessed each of us with. You see so much more when walking than you ever see while driving...
We did things like this with Tammy, Aaron and Chris when they were little. Tammy and Aaron walked with us in the hills and woods of Massachusetts and Connecticutt, Chris walked with us in the mountains in Virginia, and Logan is enjoying our Williamsburg walks.... Memories made when we take walks, not marathons, with our kids... Tammy would always say, "Daddy, slow down...I can't keep up"!
Slow down, speed up, turn around, back up, go forward... Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and make some family memories for you to share with your family....
Enjoy your day!!!!

CONSUMERS and SELLERS
Have you ever looked at ads? Well, the adds normally depict what the seller is selling, such as a picture of a dress or someone wearing a dress, you'd then assume the dress is what they are selling, correct?
Well, I have noticed that some well known clothing brands (great clothing may I add) that lack advertising savvy. The picture in their ad is a cute guy with NO shirt (nice chest) would this mean they are selling a guy with a nice chest? NO, they seem to be selling blue jeans...and there isn't even any blue jeans pictured except the top of the zipper and snap...
Now, for the really good one, I went to a popular real estate web page and noticed that people that want to sell their house, I thought, would picture many pictures of their HOUSE!!!
NO, I found people that had pictures of their goats, their horses, their chickens, and their nice furniture or their untidy mess.
First off, if I were buying their house, I want to see pictures of their HOUSE, NOT their pets... I don't want to purchase their pets, I want the house. I DON"T want their messy house! I don't want to see everyone's china cabinet in 14 different pictures. I couldn't care less if it were an antique or your prize possession. Take pictures of THE HOUSE, the rooms and yes, while your furniture is in there, I want the picture of the room with all the furniture, not just a piece of furniture. I am not purchasing that piece of furniture!
For the nursery rooms, they look great especially when it is of the room not just a picture of the crib by itself.
No kidding, even buying a house on acreage, you want the picture of the WHOLE yard, beautifully landscaped, but not of a chicken pen... Come on people... What are you trying to sell? Your pets or your home? No wonder we have so many people that can't sell their homes...
Advertise what you are selling.... Not abstract stuff....
Just a blog of my thought of the day!!!!

EASTER 2011
We had an enjoyable Easter! We went to church then over to Larry and Joan's for lunch with my cousins. We visited with Larry, Joan, Dan, Jackie, Carlos, Alex, Vanessa and Natalie. When we returned home, we hid eggs for Logan to hunt. He had fun playing with Natalie and then had fun hunting Easter Eggs.
What a great Day!!!
We wish our older children and the grandkids had been able to share it with us, but maybe next year!!!
Happy Easter 2011.....

CARRIE UNDERWOOD and STEVEN TYLER ROCK IT LIVE - Undo it / Walk This Way...
I loved this performance! I can hardly wait to hear Steven Tyler perform this with Lauren Alaina, as I think that they sound good together too. Carrie sounds wonderful as always, but Steven and Lauren could really pull this off! Maybe on the finale they will have Lauren perform a song with Scotty, and with Steven...

HELLO DOLLIES
2 cups graham cracker crumbs (chop in food processor)
